A great place for the traveling lap swimmer who is tired of trying to make do with ultra tiny motel pools. Very nice clean friendly facility. Lacks only a suit spinner for perfection.
Very cool. New. Clean. Did the tupelo super sprint triathlon here a few weeks ago
My two sons and niece went today and i have to say im so unhappy. I have a 7year old and a 9year old with boys with me. There is no other male in our family outing. I was told that my boys couldnt go in with me in bathroom and a life gaurd will go with him. And i told them i understood but one my sons is autistic and will have to be with me all times. He does not do will with strangers and so on. And she keep insisting that a life gaurd go in there with him. And keep trying explain. Anywho kinda of upset I went on swimming with my children. Then he had go bathroom. And again someone said same thing. Each time i had explain to a different person. I shouldnt have to explain it to every darn person here. It really upset me. Especially because not one single employees there told me theres a family bathroom. Like come on. If i knew, i would of used it rather then felt harrassed. I just got a family pass today too. I want to come back tomorrow but i really have to say you guys need to talk to each other about things like this so parents like me dont feel so darn upset. We here to have fun.
I have never had a good experience here, very rude 16 year old life guard was very rude, have had a few bad experiences with him. We were members for 2 months then I said nope, never been back in 2 years.
Extremely rude and conflicting information provided. We purchased private lessons for our 3 yr old daughter (who has a developmental disability), and we were informed we could not be in the water with her due to her age. After being told twice that we could remain on the bleachers observing her lesson to assure her safety, a Barbara came out and demanded that we go across the room and watch from the well out of eye/earshot bleachers or from inside a room, again with an obstructed view. Our instructor reassured us it was fine to remain on the bleachers, so we did. Barbara returned, obviously upset that we defied her, and passive-aggressively stated, " These bleachers won't be here tomorrow," then walked away. She then threw a tantrum to our instructor about our defiance after I complained about her and was told by the front desk clerk that there was no issue with us remaining on the bleachers next to the pool, as it was up to the instructor. After the lesson, the instructor stated that we could no longer sit next to the pool but could get in with our daughter. Again, conflicting information. No other families appeared to be subjected to the same treatment, and people were seated throughout the facility on bleachers next to the pools. Not disability friendly and seemed to become discriminatory against us once a complaint was filed, based on what we were told by all other staff. Buyer beware, as even center staff seem to have no firm grasp on the facility "rules." And to say that the family of a young child who cannot swim (particularly a child who cannot communicate well for herself) cannot be involved in the child's lesson seems ridiculous and reckless, especially given that facility staff have no obvious credentialed training on interacting with individuals with disabilities and seem to employ only disinterested high school-aged rescue staff. Will be contacting the facility director and the city tomorrow.
