Very nice place for a low budget hotel.
Staff was great and lobby was nice and clean and yes for the staff at night they lock the main lobby down and you have to do business through a bullet proof glass for staff safety. Have no problem with that.
The worked motel room ever. Asked for non-smoking, room reaked of tobacco smell. Floors were philthy, lav sink faucet loose and wobbely, toilet leaked water at base (sewer water on floor). Bathtub floor stained and dirty, no weatherstrip on door, cold air blow in. No blankets for bed, bedspread stained and cigarette burns, etc...this place needs to be shut down.
The motel 6 in Tupelo MS is one of the nicest motel 6 I have stayed in. Yes there are some cosmetic issues with the place but not bad. Remember you are staying at a low budget hotel and remember that you choose to stay here with you high expectations which where not satisfied. For those who smoke please do not comment on how clean the hotel was. Smokers are not clean disgusting habit.
The patrons here are more dirty than the hotel as there was trash all over parking lot and grass areas.
As for bed bugs or bugs at all never seen any in the two rooms I rented. Could use a better cleaning. I would say they where short on staff and or they just need to slow down and do better.
I spend the weekend at this hotel and i loved it. you get what you pay for, but they provided me with more than i expected. i arrived earlier than check-in time, and they still managed to get me into a clean room, within 10 minutes. the staff are very friendly and someone is there 24/7. I don't know about other visits, but mine was great and i will be doing it again.
I travel every week and i stay most at motel 6 because I take my best friend with me "Mocha" 3 year old Boxer "
Staff was nice but and the room wasn't bad but I was missing light bulb in most of the lamps and over the sink and most of the outlets didn't work. The tub was also not in great shape but if you don't care about cosmetic things then I think it's a pretty okay place. Also the keycard never really worked the way it was supposed to and it was really hard to get in the room and to lock the door.

I find this hotel to be one of the nicest low budget hotel's I have stayed in.
Very pet friendly and I enjoy the excess to my room from the out side in.
The room was warm and inviting. My boyfriend and I had just lost our place to live but this place was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable that he and I both fell asleep as soon as we sat down. The price was good for the room. Staff was very friendly. I loved it so much I really hated leaving.
